Fundraiser, Valentine's Dinner-Dance

On Friday, February 12, 2010, Carol's Kitchen held a Valentine's Dinner and Dance. Proceeds go towards feeding the hungry in the San Gorgonio Pass.

Our featured entertainment was Gina Harlan's Central Park Band with catering provided by Russo's Italian Kitchen.

The event took place at Blessed Kateri Takekwitha in Beaumont from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Flyer designed and printed by SGP Design.

Carol's Kitchen's New Truck

Thanks to a generous donation by the Riverside County Supervisors, Carol's Kitchen now owns a refrigerated truck.

Carol's Kitchen receives thousands of pounds of food and beverages each year, which volunteers have picked up themselves using their own transportation. The truck will help the kitchen increase the volume of food it receives while keeping it fresh along the way. View slideshow.

This month, Carol's Kitchen launches its "News from the Kitchen" series, where we talk about the work of our volunteers and other happenings at each of our kitchens.

Our very first article features Cabazon volunteer Marc Serra. Since moving to Banning in 2000, Serra has shown tremendous support for Carol's Kitchen, not only as a dedicated volunteer but also as a donor. Keep reading.
